Adair To Dream
Danielle is an emerging contemporary artist currently practicing in Bangor, Co Down. She studied at the Cardiff School of Art and Design (CSAD) and obtai ed a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art. During her degree she won the Welsh National Sketch Book Competition, run by Colleg Sir Garfor, for the Best Student Sketchbook and the Dulcie Mayne Stephens Award for Excellence in Fine Art at CSAD.
To inform and enhance her practice, she has travelled to New York, Palermo, Berlin, London, Venice and Amsterdam and visited various prestigious galleries, museums and sites including the MoMA, the Whitney, the Met and the Neue in NY, the Tate Modern, Tate Britain, the White Cube, the RA in London, the Rijks Museum, Van Gogh Museum, the Gunther von Hagen exhibition and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
Danielle has exhibited various works throughout the UK, including the True Colours Exhibition at the Ulster Museum, the CurAte Exhibition in London, Rattrap Exhibition in Cardiff as well as curating an art exhibition in Newport for RawFfest, a Welsh National Charity Organisation for the promotion of Art for young people.
Her practice is split into a commercial and a contemporary practice. Her commercial work under the business name ‘Adair to Dream’ is primarily painting however branches out into jewellery, candle making, and personalised commissions. Her contemporary practice is based around abject forms of the human body created in wax.
